ELEPHANT EXPEDITIONS

EHRA offers a collection of immersive conservation experiences that bring you closer to Namibia’s desert elephants and the people working to protect them. Whether you’re contributing to scientific research, exploring remote wilderness on foot, or designing a bespoke expedition, every journey directly supports elephant conservation.

OUR CUSTOMISED EXPEDITIONS

BESPOKE EXPEDITIONS

Our bespoke elephant expeditions offer a flexible, tailored experience for those looking to explore elephant conservation work in their own way.

Ideal for those short on time, these custom trips combine hands-on conservation, elephant tracking and unforgettable wilderness experiences, all designed around your interests and schedule.

FUNDRAISING TREK

Join us for a 100 km, five-day trek in northwest Namibia, beginning at the foot of the Brandberg and following the Ugab River through desert elephant country.

Guided by the EHRA team, you’ll learn to track elephants, understand their behaviour, and experience breathtaking landscapes while searching for other wildlife.

MATRIARCH ADVENTURE

The Matriarch Adventure is a women-led expedition that combines conservation, connection, and adventure.

Over two weeks, participants complete a meaningful conservation project before embarking on an elephant tracking trek, creating lasting memories while learning new skills alongside a supportive community of like-minded women.

Elephant Research Expedition

Become part of the research

Join EHRA’s unique 7-day Elephant Research Expedition and work alongside our elephant specialists as we investigate one of the biggest conservation questions facing Namibia’s desert-adapted elephants: why are so few elephant calves surviving?

Through daily tracking, behavioural observations and hands-on field research, you’ll contribute directly to our ongoing calf mortality study while learning practical elephant tracking, identification and monitoring techniques.
